RAMIREZ’S CASE WORSENS AT EVERTON

It is not every day that Premier League side Everton FC have a Spanish player like Mikel Arteta in their midst.
The current Manchester City assistant spent his best years with the Merseyside club before joining his mentor Pep Guardiola.
After he left Everton tried their luck once more with a talent from the Iberian island and two years down the drain they couldn’t be farther from finding another Mikel Arteta.
If anything, this will teach Everton to appreciate the role chance plays in football no n=matter how modern it becomes.
It is just like saying Everton will get a second Leighton Baines if they scout the lower tiers of English football. Thankfully that never happens and yes, that is why soccer betting is an industry.
It takes some kind of faith whenever a football club triggers the release clause of a player, so special, they can’twait to get him the traditional way. Everton had that kind of tremendous belief in what Ramirez was capable of bringing to the club. They didn’t blink an eye when paying Real Valladolid.
Although that money increasingly looks like a waste on an investment without any returns, Everton fans hopes, one day, Ramirez will kick his stride.
At Everton, the signee has learnt that it is always greener in England when you are in Spain until you transfer to England and suddenly realis=ze that Spain’s fields were always green but maybe he didn’t just water it enough. It may still be fixed but with age no longer on his side, he might have to water the field in England as much as possible.
Crowning it all is the fact that Sandro Ramirez has not scored any goal, in open play, for the past two years.
It remains to be seen how a striker with such a horrible stat can have a future at Everton.

MANY DECLARING LIVERPOOL PL WINNERS ALREADY

Many have declared Liverpool Premier League winners already following their consistent victories so far. After eight games, The Reds have had a perfect start to the current campaign. With a trip to Manchester United after the break, Jurgen Klopp has a chance to equal the league record for consecutive winning streak.

If the Reds can pull this off and push further against struggling Spurs, then they could very well be on their way to their first Premier League title win. While their attack has not had as much firepower as expected, aside the seeming unhealthy competition between Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane for more goals, they have remained compact and gotten through the games always on top.

Milner admits he will be rooting for United in the Manchester derby

Liverpool midfielder James Milner has admitted that he will be supporting Manchester United for the first time when they entertain Manchester City in the midweek derby. The Reds are currently at the top of the Premier League after 35 games played, but they require a favour from one of their opponents, considering the Citizens are just two points behind them with the game in hand.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Milner acknowledged that he would be rooting for the Red Devils during the Manchester derby on Wednesday. However, he added that he would not waste time watching the game and would rather look at the scoreline thereafter, he said: “First time in my life. But I won’t be watching. It’s a bit of a waste of energy, willing the ball in the other goal. I can’t do anything about it. I’ll maybe put my phone away for a few hours and check it after. I’ve no idea what I’ll do, maybe go out for some food.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Fred will get his chance to prove himself

Manchester United’s interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Fred will get the chance to prove himself during the remaining months of the campaign. The Brazil international has barely featured for the Red Devils since Ole took charge in December but he stands the opportunity to start during the midweek league fixture at Crystal Palace.

Speaking to reporters, Ole stated that Fred will get the opportunity to impress with the team and he must take the chance with both hands, he said: “It is not like we have been bogged down with too many games. Scott McTominay was the obvious choice against Liverpool because he was an academy kid – we had five academy kids at one point on the pitch. He knows what it means. You have to look at the time it needs to settle. You look at Juan [Sebastian Veron] – he is one of the best players that I played with – and it took him time to settle. And I am sure that when given the chance and a run in the team Fred will grab the opportunity. Fred will get his chances.”
